Be sure you are up to date on regular skin checks and have any suspicious moles or lesions evaluated by your dermatologist.

Wait 6 months after completing Accutane treatment before getting a Fractional Laser treatment.

Let us know if you have a history of cold sores so we can call in medication to decrease the chance of an outbreak.

Discontinue Retinols 2 weeks before your appointment.

Wait 2 weeks after injectable filler or 24 hours after wrinkle relaxer injections before treatment.

You may be started on a Melanin suppressant 2 weeks before your treatment to prevent hyperpigmentation. Melanin suppressants including hydroquinone can be used up until your treatment.

Skip your make-up on the morning of treatment.

Expect a bit of redness and an overall tighter look to the skin for the remainder of the day.

Skip exercise for the rest of the day.

Perform your normal skincare routine that night unless instructed otherwise.

There may be some mild to moderate swelling and some persistent redness the next morning, the recovery and downtime from this treatment depends on how aggressive your treatment was.

Avoid direct sun exposure for at least 2 weeks after treatment.

Let your provider know if there has been any change in your medical history or medications including pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Baseline photographs of the treatment will be taken.

A thin layer of numbing cream will be applied to the treatment area

You will relax for 30 minutes while the numbing cream takes effect.

The treatment area will be cleaned and treatment will be performed with 1-3 passes of the laser over each area.
